VIDEO: Kenyan Pastor Pays Workers to Pose as Sick People


A shocking alliance between a popular televangelist in Nairobi and workers has been uncovered. The Nation TV in Kenya has uncovered a scam in which thousands of worshipers are duped by a pastor who claims to perform miracles on the sick and needy.

Their compelling investigation has exposed the scandal in which the pastor, Apostle Njoroge of the Fire of
the Holy Spirit Ministries International, uses workers to pose as sick people who are then supposedly healed to convince worshipers to continue pouring their hard-earned cash into that ministry.

Blast kills six yr old in Bauchi



A bomb yesterday evening exploded in bayangari area of bauchi metropolis killing a six-year-old boy and wounding 10 other persons.
NigerianEye gathered that the bomb was planted inside a wheelbarrow near a relaxation spot in Bauchi.
The Bauchi State Police Commissioner Mohammed Ladan who confirmed the incident said the blast killed the boy, who was near the bar.
Adamu Abubakar, a Red Cross official, said security forces had surrounded the area.

IOC awards Nigeria 2000 Olympic Men 4X400 relay Gold Medal


Barely a week to the opening of Olympics Games slated for England, it was a celebration time for Nigeria Saturday as the nation’s team for men’s 4x400m relay were offered the gold medal from the 2000 Olympics following a meeting of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board.
The Nigerians team took the gold originally won by the United States, who have since been disqualified because of the late Antonio Pettigrew confessing to having been doped at the time of the Games.

Wife and 3 others arrested over husband’s murder




Four persons including the wife of the deceased,Zainab Musa has been arrested by the police kastina state in connection with the murder of one yusuf ibrahim,who was stabbed to death last week.Other suspects in the police net include Zainab Aliyu, Aminu Shazali alias Kankare and Jamilu Salele alias Ayun Ruwa, while Mubarak Ibrahim and Ibrahim alias Beach were at large, police said.The Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Katsina State Police Command, ASP Shehu Koko Muhammad told journalists that, “wife of the deceased, Zainab Musa was alleged to have sponsored the killing. Findings indicated that she wanted to prevent him from getting the second wife, which the deceased was about to marry.

The car was bought by Dumebi Kachikwu, Naeto C's former in-law. Dumebi was married to Naeto's sister, Somachi Chikwe, for about ten years and they have four children. The couple officially separated last year and Dumebi remarried a few weeks later. Dumebi and D'banj are also very good friends. Dumebi is said to be a stinking millionaire who is in oil and gas and he was the one who bought the car and asked D'banj to present it.

Police Kill and Arrest Resident at Makoko Waterfront

Tragedy struck yesterday at the Makoko waterfront, which is currently under demolition by the Lagos State Government, as a police corporal shot and killed one of the residents who were appealing for more time to pack their properties before the demolition of their homes.
The victim, identified as Timothy Azinpono, was said to be advising protesting residents on how to conduct themselves during a planned peaceful protest before the police corporal aimed and shot at him.

Mrs Goodluck:Wants Presidents' Wives Roles Included In Constitution

Wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Dame Patience Jonathan, has canvassed for the inclusion of roles of presidents’ wives in the Constitution.
This, according to her would enable them get retirement benefits along with their spouses when they leave office.
Mrs. Jonathan made the plea in a chat with journalists shortly after she was sworn-in as Permanent Secretary in the Bayelsa State Civil Service along with 18 others by Governor Seriake Dickson on Friday afternoon.

18 dead as South Africa School Bus Crashes

          
JOHANNESBURG (AFP) – A school bus carrying students to a sports event collided with a minibus in South Africa’s southeast killing at least 16 and injuring 31, officials said.
The accident occurred in the Eastern Cape near the town of Cradock. The Mercedes Benz school bus was being “driven by the principal,” Ashraf Ismail, a spokesman for South Africa’s road traffic managment agency told AFP.
He said 13 of the dead were travelling on the minibus. Two of the three other fatalities were children.
The eNews television channel said the students were on their way to a rugby match.
Despite good infrastructure, South African roads are among the most dangerous in the world, with some 13,000 people killed every year — more than 35 a day.

Fresh Explosions Hit Port Harcourt:30 dead

Barely a week after over 100 persons were roasted in a tanker explosion in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, another tragedy struck again on Friday as residents witnessed another fire incidents in four different locations.
While residents around Abuloma Jetty were jolted by the explosion of a vessel that claimed the lives of at least 30 persons, workers of Rivers State Newspaper Corporation lost property worth millions of naira as fire gutted the second floor of The Tide Newspaper building located on Ikwerre Road.

Eaglets Fail MRI Age Verification Test

Ahmed Musa Born in 1992 has featured in Many Age grade competitions but many believe he is actually older.
It has been revealed that eighteen members of the Nigerian U-17 team have failed the age verification Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) tests conducted on them, meaning they are actually above 17 Years old.
The affected players were screened out during the Grade 1 test ordered by FIFA for all the countries that will participate in CAF/FIFA age grade football competitions.

24 year old James Holmes was a Neuroscience PHD candidate at the University Colorado. He was in the process of withdrawing from the school before the shooting. He's yet to tell police why he carried out this sickening act. He had no criminal record prior to this.

James deployed teargas before opening fire on movie goers early this morning, killing at least 12 and wounding 58, many of whom are in the hospital in critical condition.

Magistrate orders Lawyer To frog-Jump

Drama unfolded yesterday during a Court session, when the presiding Chief Magistrate of an Osogbo Magistrate Court, Adewunmi Makanjuola ordered a middle-aged lawyer, Nnajite Okobie, to observe a five-minue frog-jump as a punishment for making noise during the court proceeding.

Makanjuola, who was presiding over a case of alleged Molestation of an 11-year-old primary school girl was apparently disturbed by the noise emanating from Okobie, who was having a conversation with two people suspected to be his clients in the court premises.

BRT Bus kills Biker And is burnt by Angry Mob (Photo)

A Lagos state government Bus Rapid Traffic  was burnt down early this week by an angry mob after it dragged a biker from a spot at the U-turn , near Abule Egba on the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway, killing the biker instantly.
