Mother abandons six months old baby
A SIX months’ old baby girl has been abandoned by one Miss Chinaza Nnaji, to a widow, Mrs Felicia Umeugochukwu at Opi community, Nsukka Local Government Area, Enugu State.
Umeugochukwu, is currently blaming herself for acting as a good Samaritan by accepting to assist the single mother, Miss Nnaji and her baby.
Speaking with a local newspaper, Mrs Umeugochukwu, said Chinaza surprised her by abandoning her six months’ baby girl and absconded to an unknown destination.
She claimed the single mother was chased out of her home at Neke in Isi-uzo LGA by her biological father for having a baby out of wed luck
Mrs Umeugochukwu alleged that besides abandoning her baby, the single mother also stole her N63, 000 and that she had reported the matter to Nsukka Urban police division who assisted her to trace Chinaza’s home at Neke, Isi-Uzo L.G.A.
According to her, her ordeal started when she accepted her daughter’s plea to house Chinaza and her daughter. She said Amarachi Umeugochukwu, her daughter, “operates a prayer ministry, Mater Miscoudia at Onitsha, Anambra State. where she housed the single mother and her baby since she was chased out of their home.”
She lamented that efforts to trace the fleeing single mother had failed as even her mobile phone had been switched off.
She added, “I am left with no other option than to cry out to general public, having reported to the police and trace her home town Neke, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area Enugu state.
