Group to declare state of Biafra Nov 5 2012

A pro-Biafra group, Biafra Zionist Movement, BZM, announced, yesterday, that it had commenced the process to launch the struggle for a State of Biafra with the international community, saying that the formal declaration of the new Biafra Republic had been slated for November 5.

This came as Conference of Igbo Youth Organizations, CIYO, warned that Ndigbo “would no longer watch in silence while our brothers and sisters are slaughtered like animals” in the Northern States.
National President of BZM, Benjamin Onwuka, at a briefing said what prevented the realization of Biafra republic over the years was the inability to get the support of world powers, like the United States of America to back the project.

Meet the twins born in different countries

Dylan and twin sister Hannah Rose

Twins are normally born minutes – if not hours – apart, but Dylan Joseph and Hannah Rose Fox will be able to say they were born in different countries

The youngsters were welcomed to the world in England and Scotland last Sunday as their parents, Donna Keenan and Joe Fox, settled down to watch the Euro 2012 final.
With no time to get to the hospital, paramedics were forced to deliver Dyland on the living room floor.
But as the twins were being born four weeks early, medical staff pulled out all the stops to get Ms Keenan to hospital in time for Hannah’s arrival.

Homeless couple returns £6,500 found in rubbish bag

A homeless Brazilian couple that lives under the bridges of Sao Paulo found a rubbish bag filled with 20,000 reals (£6,500) on a sidewalk on Monday – and promptly turned it into the police.

A homeless Brazilian couple who live under the bridges of Sao Paulo found a rubbish bag filled with 20,000 reals (£6,500) on a sidewalk on Monday – and promptly turned it into the police.

They walked closer to see what was going on and stumbled on a briefcase and a rubbish bag full of money. The pair alerted a nearby security guard, asking him to call the police.
"When we arrived, the couple gave us the money. It might be the money stolen last week from a Japanese restaurant," said Bruno dos Santos, a Brazilian military police spokesman.
The homeless pair "had the opportunity to flee with the money, but they called a security guard and asked him to call the military police. What they did is commendable," the spokesman said.
Jesus Silva Santos, the man who found the money, told the press that he earned a little more than £5 a day from recycling rubbish.
"My mother taught me never to steal," he said.

Meet the businessman who hands out £1,000 to complete strangers

The charming Noelia who was given the £1000 after Mr Lucky saw her do a good deed.

How would you react if you were approached on the street and handed an envelope filled with money? No seeming rhyme nor reason.

"You are lucky," you are told. But with this luck comes a responsibility: that you promise to do something good with it.
An anonymous millionaire is currently putting people to the test by handing out £1,000 to those he randomly encounters. The Sunday Telegraph spent the day with him whilst he paced the streets of London hunting for 10 lucky recipients.
The reactions were varied, from the stunned to the suspicious to the simply delighted.
He has given away close to £100,000 to people he has met around the world. He hands those that he chooses a sleek card explaining his project and allows them 48 hours to get in touch. Sometimes he adds in a treasure hunt for extra entertainment and leaves the invites hidden in bookshops or landmarks and sends clues out from his Twitter account

Responding to published comments where Rep. Ibrahim Bello, a member of the committee was quoted as saying that Otedola told the committee that he did not have the video recording of his transaction with Rep. Farouk Lawan, Otedola affirmed that he never told the committee anything as such.
Otedola had in the past insisted that he is in possession of audio and video recording of Lawan negotiating and collecting the bribe money.
