The wife of the deceased, Mrs Yetunde Bolarinwa explained that the armed robbers entered her husband’s bedroom through one of the windows, and later went to the living room where they carted away some belongings.
She said all attempts by her and other members of the family to get assistance from residents of the area failed, as all her shouts for help did not yield any positive result while the robbery lasted. She explained that “the armed robbers positioned themselves in strategic locations in the area and therefore, it was impossible for their neighbours to help then when they shouted for help.”
The 47-year-old Bolarinwa and his wife, Yetunde, jointly owned the popular Yetty Hotel and Yetty Mama restaurant in Osogbo. Daily Sun reliably gathered that the heavily armed robbers shot into the air when they got to the area to scare away the night guards keeping watch over the area.
It was also learnt that the late Bolarinwa made several attempts to prevent the robbers from carrying out their dastardly act before he was shot.
