24-hour Curfew Imposed In Kaduna Following Outbreak Of Violence

Following the multiple Bomb blasts targeted at churches in Kaduna yestherday, the Kaduna State Governor today, Declared a 24-Hour Curfew as Irate Christian Youth go on rampage following Church Bombings


According to the reports reaching us, Trikania in Kaduna is becoming hot, the christian youths are angry and are blaming the Muslims for the bomb attacks and are retaliating by attacking Hausa Muslims on sight and killing them.

About 11 people have been killed in reprisal attacks across the town.

Sources say the youths burnt a mosque at Television area and another at Goningora was broken into and vandalised in retaliation for the attacks on the three churches.

It can be recalled that suicide bombers, this morning detonated bombs at several areas in Kaduna this morning targeting churches, like Shalom Church, in the Tirkaniyaa area by Goni Gora neighbourhood of Kaduna, ECWA Church, close to the Sabon Gari area of the town,  and near Christ the King Cathedral Catholic church at No. 80, Yoruba Street, Sabon Gari, Zaria .
