Donjazy and brother sets up a Diesel supply company

The Mavin CEO and his younger brother James Collins have set up a diesel supply company called Mavin Energy Limted. James is the Chief Executive Officer of the company. According to their website, Mavin Energy is a 24hours door to door diesel delivery service which supplies diesels to homes, small/medium scale businesses, with also the intention to supply to public establishments, large industries, construction companies, power companies and both Federal/State Parastatals and Agencies. President jonathan makes surprise visit to ikeja police college

President Jonathan yesterday afternoon made a surprise visit to the Police College, Ikeja, days after Channels TV exposed the shameful state of the college. The president was actually on his way to an ECOWAS meeting in the Ivory Coast when his plane was diverted to Ikeja.

He immediately proceeded on an inspection tour of the hostels, college kitchen, dining hall and the Officers' Mess. Then he demanded to know how Channels TV gained access to the college to film the embarrassing condition of the college. No one had an answer for him. He promised to revamp the college after declaring that the documentary by Channels was a smear campaign.
He said:

Lance Armstrong Admits Dopeing throughout his Career

Lance Armstrong told Oprah during the first of a two-part interview Thursday night, that he doped throughout his career and might not have been caught if not for his comeback in 2009. His longtime friend and training partner George Hincapie, who was along for the ride on all his Tour de France wins from 1999-2005, was forced to give him up to anti-doping authorities.

Lance also admitted that he was the ring leader of the US Postal Service doping team .
''I'm a flawed character,'' he said.
Did it feel wrong? Oprah asked
''No,'' Armstrong replied. ''Scary.''
''Did you feel bad about it?'' Winfrey pressed him.
''No,'' he said. ''Even scarier.''
''Did you feel in any way that you were cheating?''
''No,'' Armstrong paused. ''Scariest.''
''I went and looked up the definition of cheat. And the definition is to gain an advantage on a rival or foe. I didn't view it that way. I viewed it as a level playing field.''

Nigerian war plans deployed to Mali

Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Alex Barde, said the Nigerian Airforce will commence deployment of Nigeria war planes to check the activities of jihad fighters in Mali on Thursday morning. Barde said the action was in compliance to President Jonathan's directive that military contingent be sent to assist the country to contain the jihad fighters in Mali.

Said he; "As I speak to you now our air planes have arrived in Port-Harcourt and tomorrow morning we are beginning our deployment to Mali.

"We expect them to do what Mr. President directed that we do; he has directed that we should go and assist Mali in repelling the jihad fighters there because you know that if they finish with Mali the next thing will be to come to Nigeria. "So we are going there to fight them and also protect our borders. (Vanguard)

3 men beaten and stripped naked in Imo State for being gay

 
The three men above were stripped naked and allegedly beaten on Monday January 14th, in Ekwe, near Umuka in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State for supposedly being homosexuals.

A group, the Nigeria HIV Info, dedicated to the protection of the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS, sent out a statement alerting people about the incident and condemning the act. 

In the statement signed by the group's cordinator, Steve Aborisade, the group said it has "reliably confirmed and authenticated the incident and of the identity of one of the men."

 
Mr. Aborisade called on security agents to respond to the plight of the men.
"As it is, only the perpetrators and the community can tell the whole world what has become of these men who were seriously beaten up, stripped naked and paraded around the community bounded together like animals on allegation that they were caught having  together," Mr. Aborisade said

Nigerian Oba makes history as the First Black Man to Buy the 2014 Bently

The Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom in Ondo state and chairman of Obat Oil, Oba Fredrick Obateru Akinruntan, made history last week as the first black person to buy the 2014 model of Bentley. The Oba didn't just buy it, it was specially customized for him, according to sources close to him. The new ride, which arrived in Nigeria a few weeks back, has Olugbo as its plate number

Oba Akinruntan also has a custom built 2012 Rolls Royce similar to that of Queen Elizabeth II.

St James's Palace announced yestherday

'Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July. The Duchess's condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month.' St James's Palace spokesman said.

31-year-old Kate is believed to be around 13 to 14 weeks pregnan.

Mrs Patience Jonathan flown out to Germany again

SaharaReporters is reporting that our First Lady has been flown out to Germany on another emergency. They said medical sources in Abuja told them that the first Lady had to be flown out due to new health concerns.

There is no official word from the presidency regarding her trip and her principal media aide Ayo Osinlu told SaharaReporters by phone that he couldn't tell of Mrs Jonathan's movements because he was not in Abuja at the moment.

Mallam Umar Sani denies marrying actress Nkiru Sylvanus

Nkiru, according to a report, married the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Umar Sani, as second wife just a week after she was released by kidnappers. The report also claimed it was Mallam Sani that paid the N8million ransom money. Another false report.

Mallam Umar Sani has reacted to the report, calling it ridiculous and a figment of the writer's imagination.
"The report is very funny. How can you marry somebody you have not seen for over three months? The last time I saw her was in September so how can a marriage take place when the subject matters have not seen each other? I have not married Nkiru Sylvanus and if a wedding of such took place, people should be able to name the place, date and time. It is not true". He told reporters at the Presidential Villa in Abuja

Arepo explosion: several Bodies of vandals float on creeks

NNPC pipeline was vandalized on Saturday January 12th at Arepo in Ogun state, barely a month after it was fixed after it was vandalized in August 2012. The vandalism led to an explosion that killed at least 30 people.

Bodies of four of those people were found yesterday Sunday January 13th floating in the swamp around the explosion site in Arepo. The bodies had floated up from the water, while several bodies are suspected to be inside the swamp.

The explosion occurred according to an eye witness, Sunday Reuben (pictured above, who is now late) after two of the vandals reportedly engaged in a heated argument which led to one of them shooting into the air with his rifle. Bullets shot from the rifle hit the ruptured pipeline and led to the explosion. Several died, many arrested. Now it will take NNPC several months to repair it again!

Police ordered the killing of my private sec - Gov Oshiomhole

The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole has accused the Nigerian Police of being responsible for the assassination of his Special Adviser and Personal Secretary, Olaitan Oyerinde.

Mr Oshiomhole, who was speaking on Thursday in Abuja during the launching of the new code of conduct for the Nigerian police, said both the assassin and the weapon used to murder the late Oyerinde were in police detention as at the time the assassination was carried out.

SSS arrests wanted Boko Haram Leader in residence of former Rep

The SSS has arrested one of the wanted leaders of the Boko Haram at the residence of a former member of the House of Representatives in Abuja.
Hassan Pagi Bukur was arrested on Saturday in the Gwarinpa district of Abuja at the private residence of Honourable Tijani Umar Kumalia, a member of the lower house between 2003 and 2007, according to reports in the local media, which quoted an unnamed security source.

A security guard employed by Honourable Kumalia, a politician from Borno State, the spiritual headquarters of the Boko Haram, was also arrested by the SSS.
The unnamed source also revealed that the former lawmaker was interrogated by SSS officials and released. The detained Boko Haram leader, Bukur according to the security source was responsible for handling stolen vehicles used by the Boko Haram in its deadly car bombings (The Will Nigeria)
