Father Impregnates Daughter- Victim's Photo

A Karu, Abuja, Upper Area Court has remanded 42-year-old Rufua Alabi in prison custody after he was arraigned for impregnating his 16-year-old daughter.

The prosecutor, Cpl Pascal Njoku told the court that Alabi of Kurudu Village, Abuja, committed the offence sometime last year, following which the daughter was carrying a six-months-old pregnancy for him.

He said that the girl's mother, Bose reported the matter at the Jikwoyi Police Station, after she found out that her daughter was pregnant and that Bose took her daughter to the hospital where a doctor confirmed that she was pregnant.

Rivers State PDP Crisis-Police Seal off Obio/Akpor Secretariat

The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State took a fresh dimension on Friday when heavily armed policemen sealed off the secretariat of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council.
The policemen, who were led to the secretariat by the Divisional Police Officer, Rumuodomaya Police Station, about 2 pm, had ordered the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the local government, Mr. Chikodi Dike out of the secretariat.

It was learnt that the DPO had told Dike that the directive to order him out of the secretariat came from the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mbu Joseph Mbu.

Workers and others who were on a visit to the secretariat were thoroughly searched before they were allowed to leave the premises where a patrol van was stationed.

NSCDC Inspector Posts Nude Picture of Ex lover On Facebook


A Senior Inspector in the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr Bayo Onifade, of the Oyo State Command has been arrested by the police for posting a nude picture of his mistress on facebook after their relationship collapsed.
It was gathered that Onifade and the married woman started their private love affair in December last year in Saki, a major town in the northern part of Oyo State.
While the relationship lasted, Onifade was said to have taken his lover to a location in the town where he took her nude photograph with his mobile phone.
But disagreement broke out when the woman decided to stop the relationship in March. The decision did not go down well with the NSCDC Senior Inspector.
He was said to have pleaded with her to continue with the secret affair but the 27-year old mother of two declined. It was learnt that Onifade consequently posted the nude photo of the woman on facebook .

Buhari to Contest Presidential election in 2015 under APC


Now, this is serious...Former military head of State General Muhammadu Buhari yesterday said he will "surely seek election mandate of Nigerians" in 2015 under the newly formed APC. he however claimed he is ready to step down for any other better candidate that may emerge under the new party.

Ogun Police Arrest's Cow for Murder

This Ogun people are very funny. sometime last year, there task force arrested five goats for wandering now there police have arrested a cow for murder. the cow was arrested following the death of a 24year old man identified as Azeez Salako at illata area of Ota in Ogun state. Youths in  the area were planning to hold a carnival on Sunday April 27 during the gathering, there was an argument and one of the boys identified as Dayo broke a bottle and stabbed Salako in the neck
When the police arrived at the scene, every one has fled leaving behind the "poor" cow bought for slaughter during the carnival and the police arrested the cow and took it to the station where it is currently detained.

Man Jailed for 45years for Stealing Governors Phone


When I saw this report in The Punch I was left in shock.In shock not in pity for the man but for Sentence. its a case of different strokes for different folks.. for stealing a 50k Sony Ericsson phone belonging to a state governor ,a 31year old man, Mr. Kelvin Ighodalo was sentenced to 45year imprisonment .According to reports, he stole the phone in November 2010 from the pocket of the Governor when he was being inaugurated at Government Technical College, Osogbo . the sentence was handed to the man by justice Oyejide Falola who found him guilty on Six counts which includes conspiracy, stealing and fraud. He was sentenced to 10 year imprisonment for the first three counts and Five years for each of the last three which included impersonation, obtaining property by falsehood and collusion.

PDP Crisis in River State-27 House of Assembly Members suspended


This past few months In Rivers state, internal conflict within the ruling party PDP has raised cause for concern. From one political battle to the other, The ruling party PDP has showed Nigerians there true nature. is it the dissolution of the State's  PDP Elected board members or the Political Fights by the Governor and his \Brother from the same local government  who is the current Minister for Education. there battle has been well documented but the conflict in the state took a new turn yesterday with the suspension of the all PDP members in the states house of assembly which includes the speaker and 26 other members of the house. The newly installed chairman of the party in river state Mr Felix Obuah accused the 27 members of the house elected on he party's platform of insubordination .he said, the members did not comply with the party's directive on the dissolution of Obio/Akpor local Government Chairman, his Deputy and 17 councilors for alleged reckless spending of public funds

Lagos state Government completes Nigeria's First suspension bridge. The 1.358km bridge which will link ikoyi to lekki cost about N29 billion and a toll will be collected to recoup the most of the money invested in building the bridge. it was built by Julius Berger.

Pension Fraud trial judge suspended by NJC


The judge who handled the pension scam trial and gave very light sentence to one of the accused persons John Yakubu Yusuf , has been suspended for one year without pay by the National Judicial Council (NJC). Justice Abubakar Talba of the FCT High Court imposed a mere N750,000 to the convicted felon, , who stole billions of pension fund. A statement from the  councils spokesperson , Mr Soji Oye read.....

      "The National Judicial Council under the chairmanship of the Honourable Chief Justice of  Nigeria, Honourable Justice Aloma Mariam Mukhtar, at its meeting which was held on 24th and 25th April, 2013 suspended Honourable Justice Abubakar Mahmud Talba of the FCT High Court from office for a period of 12 months without pay.
Honourable Justice Talba was suspended from office sequel to the findings by council that he did not exercise his discretion judicially and judiciously with regard to the sentences he passed on one of the accused persons, Mr. John Yakubu Yusuf, in the Police Pension case of FRN Vs Esai Dangabar and 5 Ors.

Aba Car accident-14 Jamb candidates lose there lives


Tragedy struck once again on our roads on Friday April 26th as more than 14 jamb candidates died in a fatal accident along the Enugu -Port Harcourt express way. They were on there way to there centers in Aba Abia state when there bus rammed into a stationary struck after there driver lost control of the bus. may their souls rest in peace
