Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha injured in a Road Accident

Governor of Imo State Owelle Rochas Okorocha was involved in an Accident yesterday. His Convoy was involved in a head -on collision in Orlu local government area of the state and the governor sustained minor head injuries. A statement signed by the media aide to the Governor  stated that the Governor was on a Scheduled inspection tour of some state projects in the area when the incident occured. he sustained  a minor head injury which is a minor cut on his head but his presently in a good and stable condition...we thank God for your life Sir

Am not involved in the Bombing of Madalla Catholic Church- Kabiru Sokoto

Mr Kabiru Sokoto the Alleged mastermind of the December 25,2011 bombing of st Theressa's Catholic church in madalla,Niger State has denied been involved in the said Crime. he pleaded not Guilty on Friday to an Amended -two count terrorism charge brought against him by the Federal Government. Sokoto whose real name is Kabiru Umar was arraigned amid tight security before an Abuja Federal High Court presided by Justice Ademola Adeniyi. He was initially slated to appear before the judge on march 20th but the absence his counsel slatted the process. Sokoto's Wife and child was also present in the court.

In a short ruling, Justice Adeniyi fixed May 2, 6 and 9 2013 for his trial and also ordered SSS to retain him in their Custody till the trial date.more photos after the cut

Mrs. Esther peters on Tuesday April 16th allegedly killed the hubby Mr. Kenneth peters Anayo then set his body ablaze and took off only to be caught by neighbors. earlier, Esther had stabbed her husband with a broken bottle during one of their numerous fights and he had to be treated in the hospital.

Neighbors said they noticed the Couples room was on fire around 2am that Tuesday morning but when they went to help, they noticed that the door was locked from outside. They managed to break the door only to see the burnt remains of Mr. Kenneth but Esther and son was no were to be found. Three Die,Thousands Displaced in Onitsha RainStorm

A terrible downpour that occurred Sunday night in Onitsha Anambra State has Claimed the lives of more than three persons while four persons are missing as Thousands count there losses. The three bodies were found after the rainstorm,the four missing people are feared to have been swept into the River Niger. Two of the bodies found were that of the occupants of a Toyota Camry car,their bodies were recovered with the use of a crane while the other missing people were occupants of a tricycle.

Residents affected were mainly in the Woliwo,Nwangene,Silas Works,Houseing Estate,Bida Road,Creek Roads and adjoining Areas.A Spokes Man of the victims,Mr Obiora Oguonu who is also the Chairman Silas Works Road Residents Forum said more that 500 houses and 3,000 homes were affected by the storm

How a Couple Reunited After 10yrs Died in Accident 24hrs Later

Last week, I Shared with Wownaija Readers how my Cousins Died on Friday 5th April along Benin Ore Road in The Ill Fated Young Shall Grow Bus that was Consumed By Fire. This new Story is One of Tragedy that also involves The Same bus. Its the story of a couple Nneka and Kenneth Ojielo,who died in the accident. Theirs is a story that will bring tears to many eyes because Kenneth had not seen his wife in the last 10 years until Thursday, the day before they both perished in the explosion.
"My sister travelled to Lagos from Enugu on Wednesday. On Thursday, I took her to the airport to welcome her husband. No one could separate them when Kenneth eventually came out with his luggage. They kissed for about 15 minutes and everybody around just stood watching."Nneka's younger brother, Ogonna Abako, told Punch that "Kenneth travelled to Austria in 2003 in search of greener pastures. Before he left, they already had five children. Their eldest child is 21."They actually got married very early. Kenneth was 26 years old when they got married while my sister was about 20 years old at the time. Everybody was joyous when we heard he was coming home."

MEND threatens to Start Bombing Mosques,Muslem Clerics

Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta said it will start a bombing campaign against mosques and Islamic institutions, a week after the rebel group said it killed 15 security personnel in the southern oil-producing Bayelsa state.
"The bombings of mosques, haj camps, Islamic institutions, large congregations in Islamic events and assassinations of clerics that propagate doctrines of hate will form the core mission of this crusade," MEND spokesman Jomo Gbomo said in an e-mailed statement today. The campaign, codenamed "Barbarossa," will start May 31, it said.

Three female undergraduates of Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu-Ijebu, Ogun State, who were declared missing have been sighted in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates(UAE), Wownaija has learnt.
The students, Omoeneme Maureen, Ajao Aminat Romoke and Oludegun Morufat Olayinka, have been missing from the school for several weeks, and had become a source of worry for the college management and their parents.
The school authorities and the families of the three100 level French students, had searched various parts of the state including various accidents scenes and mortuaries during the search for the students.
There had also been rumours that ritualists might have kidnapped and used the ladies for ulterior actions.

Accident Kills Four Family Members on their Daughters Graduation Day

To Members of the Bello family of Bayeku area of Ikorodu, Lagos State, Friday, April 6, 2013 will remain fresh in their memories for some time to come.
That was the day four members of the family and a neighbour died prematurely in an auto crash. A five months old baby of the family escaped the incident unhurt.
Prior to that day, the family had planned triple celebrations: their daughter's graduation ceremony, car dedication of their son and the head of the family's trip abroad alongside the matriachax. All the plans came to nought as a result of the tragedy.
The head of the family, popularlly called Alhaji Bello, was a prominent figure in Bayeku following his sponsorship of many Muslim programmes including the recent turbanning of the first Imam of the community which took place the Sunday preceding his sudden death.

Ogun Orphanage:How Owner started raping Victim at the Age of 10

Female inmates at the Light of Hope Orphanage describe how the owner of the orphanage allegedly raped them repeatedly. Eniola Akinkuotu and Tope Omogbolagun report
 From the outside, the Light of Hope Orphanage in Akute area of Ogun State looks like every other orphange.
The facility which was founded in 1996 by Mr. Olatayo Atunde receives donations from multinational companies, non-governmental organisations, and other concerned members of the public. The orphanage, also has a nursery and primary school within the premises.
However, recent sexual allegations by some of the female inmates seem to have shattered the positive image the orphanage once enjoyed.
It all started when two young girls from the home told their secondary school teacher that they were raped by Atunde, who runs the facility.

Last Friday Tanker Fire Accident Given Mass Burial

IT was anguish as victims of  recent accident which occurred at Ugbogui village, along the Benin- Ore Road, were given mass burial at First Cemetery along the First East Circular in Benin-City yesterday.

51 bodies were buried after a memorial service conducted by Rev. Barnabas Chukwukere of the End Time Soul Ministry, Benin-City.

The accident, which claimed the lives of the victims, involved a luxury bus, an articulated vehicle and a fuel-laden petrol tanker, occurred at about 1:30 pm on Friday, April 5.
