The Super Eagles of Nigeria this evening defeated the Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire 2 -1 to qualify for semi finals in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations holding in South Africa.goals from emenike and mba was enough for eagles to defeat favourites cote d'lvoire.nigeria will now meet mali in the semi finals

According to sources in the know, during Winners Chapel Cross Over service on Tuesday January 1st in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun state, worshipers of the church made donations of over 700 exotic cars to the church. People who felt they had been richly blessed in 2012 came to the cross over service with different donations, most significant was the number of exotic brand new cars and SUVs that flooded Canaanland. The people who donated them dropped the keys and documents of the cars during offering. The church auctioned the cars at very cheap prizes to its members. Some cars were sold for as low as N300k.

EFCC re-arrests Mr john Yusuf
A spokesman for EFCC told journalists today that the anti-graft agency has re-arrested Mr John Yusuf, the director of the Police Pension Office who was set free by a high court in Abuja yesterday after paying a N250, 000 fine after pleading guilty to converting N2billion of the police pension fund to personal use.
The spokesman said EFCC re-arrested Mr Yusuf today because there were other pending cases against him. The pension boss was arrested and tried with five others for stealing N23.3 billion police pension fund.

Boko haram agrees ceasefire
The second commander of Boko Haram, Sheik Abu Mohammed Ibn Abdulazeez, sent a statement to journalists in Maiduguri yesterday Monday January 28th, saying their group has agreed to a ceasefire after talks with the Borno government.
Ibn Abdulazeez said he had "the consent and approval of our leader Abubakar Shekau and I call on all members to stop hostilities".
The commander said their group was serious about the ceasefire, and security agencies are free to arrest any of their members that violates it once the ceasefire has been fine tuned.
"We are going to comply with the cease- fire order and by the time we are done with that, then government security agencies can go ahead to arrest whoever they find carrying arms or killing under our name," he said.

Rick Ross shot at,smashed his rolls royce into a building
American rapper Rick Ross smashed his Rolls-Royce into an apartment building in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida early this morning while attempting to flee from a drive-by shooting. TMZ is reporting he was the intended target.
According to reports, around 5am Rick Ross and a female companion were leaving a party on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale when a car pulled up along side Rick's dark colored Rolls and opened fire.
Rick swerved to avoid being hit and crashed into an apartment building at SE 15 Avenue.
Neither Rick nor his passenger were hit. Security cameras at a building across the street from the crash were rolling during the incident and cops are hoping the footage will either reveal the identity of the shooter or at least show the vehicle.

Police pension boss jailed 2yrs for stealing N23bn freed on N750k fine
An Abuja High Court yestherday sentenced a former head of the Police Pension Board, Mr Yakubu Yusuf, to two years in prison after he pleaded guilty to embezzling N23billion of police pension fund.
Mr Yusuf was given an option of N750 thousand to avoid the jail sentence. He was also asked to forfeit property valued at N325 million.
The former assistant director in the federal civil service was one of the six people tried for stealing N32.8 billion of police pension fund.
