Suleiman, in November, has been reported dead.
Chika gave up the ghost early Thursday
morning, on her hospital bed, at the Burns Unit of the Lagos State
University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.

Yaya Toure Wins 2012 African Footballer of the Year
Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure has been voted African Player of the Year
for the second time running. The 29 year old Man City player, who aslo
won it last year, was crowned this evening at a glamorous Glo-CAF
Awards Gala that held at the Banquet Hall, State House in Accra, Ghana.

What a relief! And thanks for all your prayers. Actress Nkiru Sylvanus and ex-Mr Nigeria Kenneth Okolie have been freed by their kidnappers. Nkiru and Kenneth were released less than an hour ago in Owerri. The kidnappers blindfolded them and dropped them off at an unknown location where they were able to call friends to come pick them up. No details on whether they paid a ransom. Great news!

Miss USA wins Miss Universe 2012
A 20-year-old beauty queen from America was crowned the new Miss Universe on Wednesday, beating out 88 other women during a televised competition at the Planet Hollywood casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
Olivia Culpo took the crown from Leila Lopes of Angola after strutting in a purple and blue bikini and a red velvet gown.
In the final stages of the competition, she answered a question about her regrets by saying she wished she hadn't picked on her siblings.
World First Gay Bible Published
A book claiming to be the world's first 'gay bible' has been published to coincide with the debate on same-sex marriage.
Titled the 'Queen James Bible', its editors claim that it is a re-working of the King James Bible translated in a way that 'prevents homophobic misinterpretation of God's Word'.
'Homosexuality was first overtly mentioned in the Bible in 1946 in the Revised Standard Version. There is no mention of or reference to homosexuality in any Bible prior to this – only interpretations have been made', the book's official website said.

Principal, Ajuwon Senior High School, Ajuwon, Ifo Local Government Area, Ogun State, Rev. Olufunke Oladeojobi, has been quizzed by the police for allegedly conducting virginity tests on the pupils.
Oladeojobi, who was described as a strict disciplinarian, by her pupils called in a nurse and jointly carried out virginity tests on a group of 10 students last week Monday.

Five Kids Locked up By Mum Burn`s to Death

Five children between the ages of four and 12 were killed in an inferno in the Kirikiri area of Lagos State on Thursday.
Saturday PUNCH learnt that the five children, Emeka 12, Ifeanyi 10, Chinasa eight, Joy six, and Bright four, who are of the same parents, were burnt alive at their home located at 29 Comfort Oboh Street, Kirikiri. The parents of the victims were identified as Ogbonna and Margaret Igwuagwu.
Our correspondent learnt that although over 30 people live in the compound, which was completely consumed by the fire, only the five children died.

Nollywood Actress Nkiru Sylvanus Kidnapped
Got word this afternoon from friends of popular actress and Imo State
SA on public affairs, Ms Nkiru Sylvanus, that she was kidnapped in
owerri this morning. Nkiru was last seen on the set of a movie last
night in Owerri. The kidnappers took her early this morning and have
already made contact with her family. They are asking for N100million.
