She has been seeking an answer after her heartthrob, who works with an oil company in Akwa Ibom State, reportedly turned his back on her and their two children to marry a lover he met on Facebook. Daily Sun gathered that when Folasade, a physically challenged lady, got married, most people thought it was a marriage made in heaven.

Folasade said her husband, who she met 15 years ago in Lagos, suddenly broke his marital vows after battering her for years. The proof of her agony could be seen on her body, full of indelible scars from bruises allegedly inflicted on her by her husband. Folasade said she bore her sorrows in uncomplaining meekness, casting her hopes on the Christian assurance that all would be well again.

Serena Williams won her second French Open title on Saturday, 11 years after her first triumph, defeating title-holder Maria Sharapova 6-4, 6-4 in a brief, but high-quality final.

It was the 31-year-old American’s 16th Grand Slam title win, taking her to within two of Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova who are tied for fourth on the all-time list.

And it underscored her near total domination of the women’s game, having won three of the last four Grand Slam titles — at Wimbledon, the US and French Opens — and reaching the quarter-finals at the Australian Open. For Sharapova it was a 10th straight loss to her American nemesis dating back to 2004 when she defeated her in the Wimbledon final and the WTA Championships when she was just 17-years-old.

Justin Gatlin defeats Usain Bolts in Rome

US sprinter Justin Gatlin beat six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt in the men's 100 metres race at the Rome Golden Gala, Diamond League, which took place today. Justin beat Usain by one-hundredth of a second, that's like 1% of a second. Justin actually had to dip his head over the line to win in 9.94 seconds. Usain came in 9.95.

Usain was making his first appearance in the Diamond League this season since his recent recovery from a hamstring injury. Usain explained what happened to him:
"I got the perfect start that I wanted, then about five steps in I stumbled a bit and that kind of threw my game off. My legs didn't feel like my legs coming into the straight. I guess I need to do more strength work. I think I just need time to get it back together but the fact I got a good start threw me off. At least I got under 10 seconds.
"It is always a good thing to lose. You can figure how to step it up. I knew I wasn't in great shape but I'm not worried. It takes time to get back into shape and I didn't expect much from this race."

Can you Solve This Mathematical Equation? Win $1M

A Texas banker is upping the ante to $1 million for whoever solves a tricky problem that’s been dogging mathematicians since the 1980s.

The Providence, Rhode Island-based American Mathematical Society (AMS) on Tuesday said $1 million will be awarded for the publication of a solution to the Beal Conjecture number theory problem.

Dallas banker D. Andrew Beal first offered the Beal Prize in 1997 for $5,000. Over the years, the amount has grown.

AMS spokesman Michael Breen says a solution is more difficult than the one for a related problem – Fermat’s Last Theorem – which didn’t have a published solution for hundreds of years.

Northern Elders Condemn's Ban on Boko Haram

Top elements in the Northern part of Nigeria  have disagreed with the National Assembly on the proscription of two Islamic miltant groups – Boko Haram and Ansaru–by President Goodluck Jonathan.
While the North through its two prominent groups, the Arewa Consultative Forum and the Northern Elders Forum, faulted the ban, the National Assembly insisted that it was a welcome development.
To the ACF and the NEF, the Jonathan administration has through the ban thrown a spanner in the works in its efforts to  end   bloodletting in the North  through amnesty for Boko Haram and Ansaru members.
They said they were waiting to see  how the Federal Government would address the  crisis in the North.
