Superstar Wizkid has announced the release of the video for his viral single Azonto on Nigeria's pioneer mobile music platform, Star Music.
The video for the song was shot in London by Mr Moe Musa and is inspired by the famous Ghanaian dance, Azonto.

"About 100 people witnessed an unusual wedding at the weekend. The bride was 61 years old and the groom was an eight-year-old boy! Both families were present at the wedding of Sanele Masilela (8.) and Helen Shabangu (61) and the bride's husband and her five children were also at the wedding in Zimbabwe.
The boy's aunt, Patience Masilela (46), explained why the wedding took place; "The boy was named after his late grandfather who never had a white wedding, so the ancestors told the boy to get married and he chose Helen to be his bride. The family took his desire to get married very seriously. They paid for the bride in March last year and spent a lot on the wedding because they believed it was what the ancestors wanted."

2face idibia's baby mama Sunmbo set to wed

One of 2face Idibia's baby mamas, Sunmbo Ajaba, is set to wed the senior pastor at Royal Christian Centre, David Adeoye. Their wedding has been fixed for Saturday May 4th 2013. Their court wedding will hold Thursday May 2nd at the Ikoyi registry. They already held their introduction ceremony.

David and Sunmbo have been friends for many years but their friendship changed after David lost his wife, Folake Adeoye in November 2011. Sunmbo is one of the active members in pastor Adeoye's church and is a committed choir member who leads the praise and worship. Her event company handles most of the church events.

Students and Soldiers clash at Nasarawa State University, Keffi

Students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi,yestherday morning clashed with soldiers after they protested over not having water for many days on campus. Soldiers were called into the school to restore sanity but things went crazy. They clashed with the students and I hear they may have killed one of them.

The soldiers allegedly went to the off campus hostels to harrass and beat up students. The school has been closed down indefinitely as a result of this. The Governor of Nasarawa state, Tanko Almakura, have since advised all students of the school to leave the school premises with immidiate effect till further notice

Cardinal Keith O'brien, UK's most senior Roman Catholic cleric resigns amid claims of 'inappropriate behaviour'

74 year old Cardinal Keith O'Brien, UK's most senior Roman Catholic cleric, resigned his position as the Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh today Monday February 25th after being accused of 'inappropriate conduct' towards fellow priests.

Three priests and a former priest reported him to the Vatican over allegations of inappropriate behaviour stretching back 30 years. One of the priests alleged that the cardinal developed an inappropriate relationship with him, resulting in a need for long-term psychological counseling. Another one claimed O'Brien made an inappropriate approach after night prayers. The four demanded O'Brien's immediate resignation.

O'Brien denied the allegations and had been expected to continue in his post as archbishop until mid-March, when he was due to retire at age 75 but he resigned today.

"I have valued the opportunity of serving the people of Scotland and overseas in various ways since becoming a priest," Cardinal O'Brien said in a statement. "Looking back over my years of ministry, for any good I have been able to do, I thank God. For any failures, I apologise to all whom I have offended." 
The Vatican is to investigate the allegations.

Nigerian ‘Yahoo Boy’ on FBI’s most wanted list Arrested

He owned a hip hop record label and he lived the high life of luxury hotels, gambling, strippers and bling. But behind the glitz and the glamour, Tobechi Enyinna Onwuhara was one of the FBI's most wanted men, allegedly a fraudster who scammed at least $44 million through cyber crimes.
But the advanced con artist, who fled Florida in August 2008 amid an intense FBI investigation, has been caught in Sydney and sent back to the US to face a string of fraud charges.
Nigerian-born Tobechi Onwuhara, 33, was "provisionally arrested in response to a request from the United States Government" in December last year, according to a spokeswoman for the Australian Attorney-General's department.

Goldie to be laid to rest today

The remains of late Susan 'Goldie' Harvey will be laid to rest today at the Vaults & Gardens private burial ground located at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Close, Off Federal Secretariat Road, Ikoyi, Lagos Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

The family says the burial will commence at 10am today and will be only for close family members and business associates. It will be strictly by invitation.
