Uhuru Kenyatta declared the 4th president of Kenya

Mr Uhuru Kenyatta is the new president of kenya.he was today declared the 4th president of Kenya by the country's Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.Kenyatta will assume office later this month as the first Kenyan President to come into office under the country's new constitution which was adopted after the crisis that followed its 2007 elections.meanwhile,president Goodluck has sent his congratulatory message.

Latin American drug cartels fund Boko Haram,Ansaru – Intelligence Report

There are indications that terrorist groups, Boko Haram and Ansaru, are being funded by drug cartels in Latin America, a report has revealed.

The report entitled, "Terrorism in Northern Africa and the Sahel in 2012: Global Reach and Implications," is an update on five earlier studies.
Published by the Director, Inter-University Centre for Terrorism Studies, USA, Yonah Alexander, in February 2013, the report suggested that Al-Qaida in Islamic Maghreb, had aligned with many other groups in order to expand its sources of funding.

World's Youngest Gay Couple Marry In The US


Two teenagers from Memphis, Tennessee have reportedly become the youngest married black gay couple in America.
According to The Scoop Entertainment, David Harris and Tre'Darrius Anderson tied the knot in Washington, D.C., in January. They are both 19.
The teenagers got married in front of the Lincoln Memorial surrounded by family and friends, as same marriages are illegal in Tennesse. They later posted a video of their special day on YouTube.

Update on Governor Suntai's True Health Condition  

Taraba State Governor Danbaba Suntai is suffering from loss of speech and inability to comprehend what people say to him because of brain injuries that could take years to fully cure, one of his personal physicians told Daily Trust.
Dr. Zakari Yusuf Aliyu, a professor of Medicine and Public Health, and Chief Medical Director of Taraba State Specialist Hospital Jalingo, said he recently visited the governor in Germany where he has been receiving medication since October last year, following the crash of a plane he was piloting near Yola, Adamawa State.
Aliyu said Suntai suffered injury to his brain during the plane crash, and that it could take "weeks, months, even years for him to come back to his pre-accident state."

Barely one week after Damino Damoche, the final year student of the Lagos State University, Ojo, was killed by suspected cultists in front of the institution's gate, another student was Thursday, murdered by suspected cultists on reprisal attack.
Although the deceased identified as Karim Abiodun, was reportedly not a student of LASU, but he was alleged to be a member of Buccaneer confraternity, whose members were said to be at war with members of the Eiye confraternity.
Report said the cultists stormed Karim's home located on Afolabi street around PPL in Okokomaiko area at about 4a.m yesterday, from where he was chased to Peoples bus-stop around Ajagbandi and shot dead. The late Karim, a second year student of Economic Education at the Lagos State College of Education, LACOED, would be the second person to be killed during reprisal attacks by warring cultists since the death of Damoche.

Billionaire Folorunsho Alakija,owns N18b UK property

According to a report released last weekend by American lifestyle magazine, Vanity Fair, Nigerian oil Tycoon, Mrs Folorunsho Alakija owns five apartments in London's One Hyde Park, the world's most expensive apartment block.

Vanity Fair in their report wrote that Mrs Alakija owns five apartments in the 6,000 pounds-per-square-feet apartment block which she bought at a combined fee of $123 million (N18.4billion), making her the second highest property owner in the upmarket area after Rinat Akhmetov, Ukraine's richest man and owner of Ukranian football club, Shaktar Donesk, whose property is valued at $215.9 million.

Rape to attract life imprisonment in Nigeria

The House of Representatives yesterday Tuesday March 5th approved life imprisonment for any person convicted of rape. They also approved a minimum of 20 years without an option of fine for persons convicted of gang raping someone.

The bill, which was sponsored by Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, also approved 25 years imprisonment for any person who attempted to use chemical, biological or any harmful liquid on another person. (e.g pouring acid on anyone). 

The bill also approved 4 years in jail or a fine not more than N200,000 or both for any person convicted of performing female circumcision and general mutilation or engaging someone to carry it out. Aiding female circumcision attracts N100, 000 or two years in jail or both.

Weapons, Bomb-Making Devices Found In Politician's Home

Six AK 47 assault rifles and some ammunition and bomb making devices were found following raid by Nigerian troops on the home of a serving politician, Hussain Dei Dei near Dalet barrack in Kawo area of Kaduna city.

A press statement from Nigeria army's division 1 internal security force led by Brigadier General TC Ude said the raid was carried out on Tuesday March 5th 2013 at about 5.30pm following intelligence report in the area.
The statement also revealed that two men, two women and five children were arrested during the operation.
Apart from six AK 47 assault rifles the military listed the following items were recovered:

Decomposed bodies of 2 missing kids found in Ketu, Lagos

Two toddlers in Ketu, Lagos State, who were declared missing on January 25, 2013 have been found dead in an abandoned vehicle on the premises of a building next to theirs on Taike Street, Ketu, Lagos.


The dead bodies, were identified as those of Toheeb Adedokun and Falilu Tajudeen, both three years old, who disappeared from their parents' house located at 18 Taike street, Ketu on January 25, 2013.
Police sources told NigerianEYE that the bodies were found following report by two staff of the Ketu branch of a micro finance bank.
