'Dead' prostitute wakes up on the way to the morgue


A prostitute in Zimbabwe 'died' during a hotel romp with a client - only to come back to life as her body was being put in a coffin. The vice girl reportedly collapsed during a sex session last week at the Manor Hotel in Bulaweyo. Convinced she was dead, her shocked client called the police - who sent paramedics to collect the body. 

But as they were loading the 'corpse' into a metal coffin, the hooker suddenly woke up screaming.

Police Arrests Two-Month Old Girl


This happened in Ogun State.its bizarre but true.a two-month -old girl was arrested and paraded in place of her father who was suspected to be a dare-devil robber.the mother was taken into custody along the toddler identified as Oyinkansola.Policemen stormed the residence of the alleged armed robber, Ismail Adeosun, at Ago-Ika in Abeokuta North local government area and, because they could not find the suspect, they arrested every body available.

Eze Madumere Sworn in as Imo Deputy Governor


Former Imo State Chief of Staff Mr Eze Madumere has been sworn in as Imo State Deputy Governor.Masumere was sworn into office by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Benjamin Njemanze, following the removal of the former deputy governor Mr Jude Agbaso.

Agbaso was impeached by the Imo House of Assembly on Thursday March 28, on indictment of an allegation of N458 million contract scam with a construction firm JPROS Nigeria.

Fake Alomo Bitters-NAFDAC Arrests Two Brothers

two brothers,Henry and Ekene Ezeani has been arrested by NAFDAC for the illegal manufacture and sale of fake alcoholic beverage "Alomo Bitters"

Operatives of the agency in Lagos impounded N25m worth of the product during the raid.
A statement by NAFDAC's spokesperson in the state, Anslem Okonkwor, said the suspects were part of a syndicate that specialised in producing fake brands of beverages, which had been under the agency's surveillance.
"A team of NAFDAC officials led by Mr. Joseph Asikpo apprehended them while they were producing the fake products in their residence at 140, Ojora Royal Compound, Coker Village in Lagos," Okonkwor said.
It was learnt that Ekene had been arrested in 2012 for a similar offence but was released on bail.

Another Air Crash averted as Plane loses Engine mid-air


Over 75 passengers and crew narrowly escaped death Thursday as a Rabat, Morocco-bound Royal Air Maroc flight lost one of its engines mid-air.

The flight, which took off at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at about 7:30am, had on board National President of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Garba Mohammed, National Secretary, NUJ, Shuaibu Liman, National Treasurer, Fatima Abdulkarim, Mukhtar Gidado, former Vice President, Zone E, Gbenga Onayiga,chairmen of Bauchi and Kogi states chapters of the union and several other Nigerian and beninious journalists who were to attend the Federation of Africa Journalists conference in Morocco.WN gathered that the aircraft, Boeing 737-800, was already an hour into the flight when the pilot noticed failure in one of the engines of the twin-engine aircraft.

He was said to have immediately embarked on a return to point of take-off and called for emergency landing.he finaly landed the bird without any serious damage

Ex-soldier and wife murdered by daughter in Delta


A moment of madness yesterday, in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State by a mentaly unstable 32yr old lady has left the parents,a retired soldier and his wife dead.

Sources said the retired Army Warrant Officer, Mr Jonah Elili, and his wife gave up the ghost after they were hit with a pestle by their daughter whose name was given as Elo.

The lifeless bodies of the retired soldier, 75 and his wife, 65, were reportedly discovered in the early hours of yesterday by a neighbour who had gone to purchase some items from the deceased couple's shop.

A source who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the neighbour had, after knocking at their door for several minutes without response, peeped into the house and was shocked to find the husband and wife lying in a pool of blood.

N417 million Bride-Imo State Deputy Gov Impeached


hours after an owerri High Court dismissed the suit by the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Mr. Jude Agbaso, asking it to stop his impeachment by the state Assembly, the embattled deputy governor has been removed from office.
Twenty-five out of the 26 members of the Imo State House of Assembly approved the impeachment.
His impeachment is coming after a prolonged battle over the allegation that he demanded the sum of N417 million from a contractor in the state.

Mr. Agbaso has consistently denied the allegation.

Nelson Mandela Re-Admitted to Hospital

Ex South African President Nelson Mandela has been re-admitted to hospital with a recurrence of a lung infection.statement from the S A presidency said Mr Mandela, 94, had been admitted just before midnight.Mandela spent 18 days in hospital in December undergoing treatment for a lung infection and gallstones.he's widely regarded as the father of the nation for leading the struggle against aparthied he also served as South Africa's first black president from 1994 to 1999. However recently, his health has caused concern for some time.

According to reports,Mr Mandela was conscious and was receiving the best possible medical treatment.

"I think we need to be clear that the doctors are attending to Madiba [Mr Mandela] on a continuous basis," spokesman Mac Maharaj said.

"They prefer to act on the side of caution, and the moment they felt there was a recurrence of the lung infection, they felt that it warranted immediate hospitalisation given his age and given his history.

Tribune Publisher Chief Oluwole Awolowo is dead


Publisher, African Newspapers of Nigeria Plc, the publishers of the Tribune newspapers, Chief Oluwole Awolowo, died in a United Kingdom hospital on Wednesday at the age of 70.Oluwole the son of the late Premier of the defunct Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo died as a result of the complications he suffered in a car crash about seven years ago.

The statement by the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of the company, Mr. Edward Dickson, said, "Chief Awolowo died 5.40pm Nigerian time at Wellington hospital, St Johnswood, London, following complications arising from a car crash that occurred on September 30, 2006.
 
"He had been in and out of hospital, home and abroad, since he was involved in the ghastly accident seven years ago on the Lagos- Ibadan Expressway.RIP sir

Sheraton Hotel roof collapes during Conference


It was commotion yestherday in ikeja sheraton hotel.advertising body of Nigeria were having a conference at the banquet hall of the Sheraton hotel in Ikeja yestherday afternoon when they noticed severe leaking in the roof. The attendees then moved to a separate part of the room, but less than a minute later, the roof caved in and guests had to rush out of the conference room out of fear...

The attendees complained that no management of Sheraton came out to apologise to the guests, that they were more concerned about guests not taking pictures but of course,wownaija was able to get a photo...

Letter Written by Robbers to Residents of Lambe in ogun state


robbers sent an unbelievable letter to Lambe residents in Ogun State, southwest Nigeria, begging them for a warm welcome when they strike in their community in the coming days.
The robbers said in the letter, written in Yoruba language and pasted on many walls and streets..Describing themselves as friends of the residents in Lambe community, the robbers called on them to get ready for their arrival and cooperate with them.
"You residents of this area be prepared to receive your friends very soon. If you like, inform the police or your security men or OPC, you will just lose your lives. What is important is to cooperate with us and to get ready to give us a warm welcome," the robbers said in the short letter.

The letter ends with these words: "We your friends, robbers".
