Gospel singer, Lanre Teriba otherwise known as Atorise cheated death after he was shot at close range in Pretoria. It was learnt that the lucky singer was shot by unknown assailants in the left leg.

An eyewitness revealed the singer was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was promptly moved to the Emergency Unit. The source added that although the shot was not fatal, however, the singer was not all that lucky as he lost personal effects including mobile gadgets, gold wristwatch, iPad and cash.
NE gathered that the attack occurred shortly after the singer performed on stage a day after Valentine's Day at West End Theatre, Pretoria Show Ground, Pretoria West. The singer had jetted out to perform alongside Juju singer, Dele Taiwo at a Valentine Show tagged Praise Night Concert.
Since the incident, Atorise has been thanking his stars.
"Life is a privilege. Thank you God for giving me another chance. I appreciate this Lord," he tweeted via his twitter handle @LanreTeriba.
It is learnt that the singer has since been discharged from the hospital and has fully recuperated.
Atorise is now back to doing what he does best as he was reportedly seen performing at another show on Sunday alongside Dele Taiwo. Last week, the singer who is expected in the country soon was also guest on PlanetRadioTV's The Show hosted by Mutale Mwanza in Johannesburg.
