Sylvester Stallone's 1st Son Sage Stallone Found Dead

 
 
 
Sage Stallone, the 36-year-old son of Sylvester Stallone, has been found dead at a house in Los Angeles.

Authorities were investigating Sage Stallone's death, but details were not immediately available.

"Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son," publicist Michelle Bega said in a statement. "His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha."


Los Angeles police said they were dispatched to investigate a death at a home on Mulholland Terrace around 2.15pm on Friday.Coroner's officials also said they were in the initial investigative stages.

Nigerian soldier sentenced to death for murder

A Nigerian soldier, Corporal Moses Olurunfemi has been sentenced to death by hanging by a Makurdi High Court after being found guilty of culpable homicide.
The convict before his conviction was attached to 81 Intelligence Corp of the Nigerian Army in Lagos.
According to the First Information Report, FIR, filed in Court by the Police prosecutor, the convict had on the 19th of September 2009 allegedly strangulated his girl friend Miss Mercy Ajagbonna at her residence for undisclosed reasons.
The late Miss Ajagbonna was until her death a staff of the Federal Medical Center, Makurdi and resided at Kwararafa quarters in Makurdi town.

Police Intercepts Arms Smugglers In Lagos


The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, revealed on Friday that the command has arrested three persons, including a retired naval officer, for allegedly possessing 8,450 live cartridges.

Parading the suspects at the Police Headquarters, Ikeja, Manko said that the ammunition was smuggled through Seme, a border town in Lagos.

He said that the ammunition was intercepted by police officers from the Trade Fair Police Division on stop and search patrol.

Musicians, Tiwa Savage and Wizkid have been officially unveiled as brand ambassadors of Pepsi.
The "Blue, Bold and Beautiful" Pepsi ambassadors were unveiled on Wednesday night at an exclusive event at Likwid Lounge, Lagos.
According to reports, Tiwa Savage clinched the Pepsi deal while co-hosting the Nigerian Idol season II reality show, which Pepsi sponsored.
Tiwa expressed gratitude at the decision of the brand to make her an ambassador, adding that, "I had no idea why I was chosen but will add a proper Naija flavour to the brand."
Celebrities who were in attendance included Dr Sid, Durella, Eku Edewor, Flowsick, Olisa, Kaffy, Mo Cheddah, DJ Xclusive, Vector, and a host of others.
The duo have filmed the TV commercials and print ads for the campaign.
Former Pepsi ambassadors include Ashionye, who was signed as face of Pepsi Lite in 2007, and Lynxxx, who represented the brand in 2010.

Deputy Governor of Borno and Shehu of Borno escape bomb attack

A suicide bomber blew himself up near the Maiduguri Central Mosque in the capital city of Borno State, killing himself and at least five others.

It was gathered that among the dignitaries that were observing Friday prayers at the mosque were Deputy Governor Zannah Mustaphar and the Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Kyari. Both men were evacuated alive after the attack. It is not yet clear if any was injured.

DANA PLANE CRASH: How Captain battled with failed engines mid-air

Preliminary report on the Dana plane that crashed on 3rd June 2012 at Iju-Ishaga, Lagos released yesterday by the Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB, said that the Captain tried starting the failed two engines mid-air when the engines packed up and after several failed attempt ''the Capt informed the Flight Officer, FO, "we just lost everything, we lost an engine. I lost both engines".
This is coming as the report said the crash was not caused by contaminated fuel. The plane, a Boeing MD-83, with registration no 5N-RAM on a domestic scheduled commercial flight, operated by Dana Airlines Limited as flight 992 (DAN 992), crashed into a densely populated area during a forced landing following a total loss of power in both engines while on approach to Muhammed Murtala Airport (LOS), Lagos, Nigeria

The Accident Investigation Bureau has submitted a preliminary report on the crash of Dana Air’s MD83 (5N-RAM) in Lagos on June 3, 2012. The report determines the main facts about flight 992. Read it below..
On 3rd June 2012 about 1545 hours[1], 5N-RAM, a Boeing MD-83, a domestic scheduled commercial flight, operated by Dana Airlines Limited as flight 992 (DAN 992), crashed into a densely populated area during a forced landing following a total loss of power in both engines while on approach to Muhammed Murtala Airport (LOS), Lagos, Nigeria. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time and the airplane was on an instrument flight plan. All of the 153 persons aboard the airplane, including the 6 crew members were fatally injured. There were 10 confirmed ground fatalities. The airplane was destroyed.  There was post impact fire. The flight originated at Abuja (ABV) and the destination was LOS.

Man accused of killing his 3 daughters.

A father was arrested over the killing of three young girls in River Falls, Wisconsin, US on Tuesday, police said.

Police were called to a home on Morningside Avenue around 3:30 p.m. local time (4:30 p.m. ET) by the children's mother, who was concerned about their safety after she said the father made statements about their wellbeing.

When officers got there, they noticed the smell of gas in the home and found the bodies of three girls between the ages of five and 11.

man offers his son for sale

A man has been arrested by the police in Ghana for allegedly offering his one-and-a-half-year-old son for sale at the Kokomba Market in Accra for GH¢200,000.The suspect, Mohammed Alhassan, 30, a resident of Sheshawu, near Tamale, was arrested in a hotel at Nungua where he had lured the 22-year-old mother of the child to enable him to steal the boy for the prospective buyer.
His intention was to dope the mother before carrying out the act, for which reason he laced a bottle of malt with some sedatives to make her fall asleep. But it did not work on her.

Bishop David Oyedepo wins N2billion assault case

Bishop Oyedepo this morning won his N2 billion assault case in court after Justice Ojo of the Ogun State high court dismissed the case on the grounds that the application lacked merit and that the 'slapped lady' remains a ghost victim.

A Lagos based lawyer, Robert Igbinedion, had filed a lawsuit on behalf of a girl who was filmed being slapped by the founder of Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) during a deliverance session a few years back. Mr Igbinedion failed to produce the girl, making it impossible to have a case against the Bishop.

hundreds die scooping fuel as tanker explodes in Rivers State

At least 90 people including women and children were burnt to death early today Thursday July 12th while scooping fuel from a fallen tanker at Okobe in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State. The fuel tanker crashed into some vehicles and fell, spilling its content but didn't immediately burst into flames. Unfortunately it exploded when residents of the area went to the scene to scoop fuel from the tanker.

Portsmouth FC plans to punish Nigerian star, Kanu

Portsmouth are considering punishing former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu for his continued absence from club activities while he stays in Nigeria.
The veteran striker missed training for a second day on Tuesday as his teammates took part in a double session at Fratton Park.

The reason for Kanu's action is yet unclear to the club which he led to an FA Cup victory in 2008.

Robbers invade Skye Bank Port Harcourt yestherday; 2 killed

The vehicle the robbers came in
Four armed men came to rob Skye Bank on Agip Road in Port Harcourt yestherday afternoon. they didn't succeed. Mobile police around the area engaged them in a shootout. Two robbers were killed, two escaped.
