Halimar Abubakar....Why I Shaved My Hair
"I was invited to participate in cancer awareness campaign by Waodiva
and MTN. They did workshops on cancer, and a lot of survivors attended.
I cried when I saw them. It was really shocking that people can go
through that traumatic experience. I now decided to take off my hair as
a way of honoring them. If you shave your hair, you understand better
what it is. If you have someone that has gone through the ailment, you
will understand what I am talking about. They normally cut their hair.
Who doesn't want hair? Hair is every woman's glory. Shaving my hair is
my own way of supporting the call against the dreaded disease." - Halima

relationship status in an interview on Reel Radio yesterday...

I am no longer in my marriage; we are separated. I have two wonderful children – a ten year old daughter and a seven year old son. They are an integral part of my life; their mum and I have a very good arrangement on how to balance their lives to make sure that psychologically they are stable and unaffected by our separation.”

FG Terminateds Bi-Courtneys Lagos Ibadan Contract
The government said they terminated the contract 'as a result of serial breaching of the terms' of the deal by Bi-Courtney. The Federal Executive Council (FEC) in May 2009 awarded the concessionaire contract for the expressway for 25 years to Bi-Courtney, which was expected to upgrade the highway with over N80 billion and recoup the investment by tolling the road, but they couldn't deliver.
The contract has been awarded to both Julius Berger Nigeria Plc and R.C.C Nigeria Limited, and they have been directed to commence work immediately on the road.
