Gunmen invade Igbinedion University, destroy properties, behead two students

 

 

Igbinedion University, Okada, Benin City was under serious attacks by unknown gunmen on sunday.


 According to the students, they revealed that militants invaded their school by 3am on sunday  morning and they attacked the school untill about 4pm in the afternoon.

Farouk Lawan released on bail




Embattled Representative Farouk Lawan returned home from police custody on Saturday but under one condition, he must produce the alleged $620000 bribe not later than this week.


Futhermore. his international passport was also seized by police to prevent him from traveling out.
The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Special Task Force (STF), Mr. Ali Amodu granted Lawan bail in the presence of one of the counsel, Rickey Tarfa (SAN).

Residents scoop kerosene from gutter in Lagos




Residents of Ikeja area of Lagos on Saturday trooped out in their hundreds to scoop kerosene from a gutter along the Agege Motor Road.

Eye witnesses said that the kerosene was discharged into the gutter by a truck that fell off the road while trying to negotiate a bend around midnight on Friday.
