After much speculation, Chelsea made an offer for Nigerian winger Victor Moses on Monday. But the offer of £4m for last season'a revelation has been turned down as being too meagre. Moses is valued at around £10 million.
Though Chelsea are the first club to make definite contact with Wigan with a view to signing the Nigerian, there are other speculations that the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham want to sign the youngster.

Moses is in the last year of his contract and if he does not sign a new contract at the DW Stadium, he will be free to talk to other clubs from next January.
Wigan owner Dave Whelan believes he can get more for the 21 year old former England schoolboy international.
“Chelsea would need to get realistic before we would even listen to them. They made a bid at 6pm [Monday] night and we turned it down flat.” Whelan told ESPN.
“Roberto Martinez has brought this player on and he needs at least another year with Roberto to become a top player.
“We have offered him a new contract but it seems the agent, more than the player, wants to move him on, at least that is the impression we are getting."
Whelan argued for Moses to stay at Wigan and continue to develop under Martinez and added that he will not be first choice at Chelsea. “It cannot be for the player's good. Victor Moses needs another year or two before moving to a club like Chelsea. He needs games and he won't be first choice at Chelsea, I wouldn't have thought.
“We don't need to sell him with 12 months to go on his contract because he is under 24 so wouldn't be going on a free transfer.”
There is also the issue of Martinez leaving for another club before the new season kicks off.
“Ideally we would like him to sign a new contract, or a club like Chelsea would have to be realistic. At the moment, they are taking the Mickey with the bid they've made.”
